Chemical Milling®
Process designed to optimise product injection
Our internationally patented technology allows operators to directly modify the leather settings during the milling process.

We designed our Chemical Milling® technology to allow several secondary operations to be performed during the milling process. The advantages of Chemical Milling®: production flexibility and consistency on large-scale production lines, occupational safety and efficiency and environmental protection.
Cold Milling®
Low temperature milling
The innovative Cold Milling® technology provides complete control over the temperature of the environment in contact with the leather independently of the external environment. This protects leather and hides against thermal shocks, providing accurate control of the temperature and humidity levels and the possibility to achieve reproducible results independently of the season. This results in increased uniformity among the hides processed during the year or at plants located on different continents.
The Cold Milling® version of the entire Black Line drum range can be selected.
Certifications
Assomac - Green Label
The Green Label is part of the ASSOMAC “Supplier of Sustainable Technologies” project, which aims to create a membership-based Labelling System certified by a third-party organisation given that traceability, sustainability, transparency and environmental compatibility are now fundamental prerogatives, which cannot be ignored.

In the absence of internationally recognised standards for the classification of the energy and/or environmental performance of leather processing machines, Erretre, together with many Italian manufacturers, is promoting a tool with Assomac that aims to provide some performance data of the manufactured machinery.

The green label is a document that aims to identify and ensure ease of comprehension of the energy and environmental performance data of tanning industry machinery. In particular, it refers to a process chosen by the manufacturer as a comparison parameter.
The applied procedure makes it possible to express the impact of the system in the production process by means of the internationally recognised reference parameter CFP (carbon footprint), calculated according to LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodologies.
Awareness of the technological excellence achieved, also in terms of sustainability, is in fact one of Erretre's core strengths, at the forefront with low environmental impact and high sustainability technological solutions.
